Inclusion rule. Every tool maker on the catalogue whose own site keeps a page for the task, found through its sitemap and opened. Order. Alphabetical by tool maker.
1What the task covers
A thumbnail is the still image that stands for a video in a feed or a list.
Where a heading names a platform, it is YouTube or TikTok. For a series each episode needs one, and a consistent look across them helps an audience recognise the show.
2Where the pages sit
Of the 7 pages, 3 under /tools/, 2 under the site root, 1 under /apps/ and 1 elsewhere. The path is the vendor's own site structure; a page under /tools/ or /make/ is usually a landing page for one job, while a page at the root is often a flagship product.
3In the makers' words
Content always thrives on great visuals.

4A task page from a maker
One maker that keeps a page for work like “Thumbnails” is SceneMixer; here are its words, quoted as published:
Typically 60–120 seconds, always 9:16 vertical, ending on a hook. SceneMixer's episode outlines are generated with that pacing, and setting a project to 9:16 makes every segment vertical (the default is 16:9).

The new name is written everywhere the old one stood: storyboard lines, episode titles and summaries, the scene lists and already-parsed dialogue.
